     WHAT WE DO

We provide you with affordable investment advice, education, guidance, analysis, and/or consulting services related to the mutual funds in your (current or proposed) 401(k), 403(b), TSP, IRA or personal accounts. As your investment coach we review your personal investment risk profile, goal and portfolio, and guide you through investing with mutual funds.

      WHO WE ARE

Your Investment Coach is an independent investment adviser firm, registered with the Pennsylvania Securities Commission. We offer unbiased investment advice and our services on a one-time or an ongoing basis for a consulting fee only. Our obligation is to present you with investment advice that is in your best interest. Our goal is to make you a satisfied client.

     WHO WE ARE NOT

We are not employed by, nor do we represent any brokerage or asset management firm, insurance company, mutual fund company, or any other financial services  company. We sell no products, have no quotas, and make no commissions, so we have no obligation to push any one mutual fund over another.

HOW WE DO IT

Before you invest, we will help you understand the fundamentals that every investor should be aware of, and how they impact your account:

  • Asset Allocation
  • Diversification
  • Know what you own, and why you own it
  • Re-balance (usually on an annual basis)

We will coach you on these subjects so that you can be prepared to make informed investment decisions with your mutual fund assets.

We start by creating a personal investor profile that helps us to understand your investment knowledge, experience, and objectives, and your risk tolerance. This information is used to formulate our advice. Our recommendations are designed to help you make better investment decisions based your individual profile and the funds offered by your plan or brokerage firm’s platform.

During a one-on-one consultation we present you with a written report that helps you examine and understand each of you individual mutual fund holdings and how they work together as a whole in your portfolio.

If you are about to start a new portfolio we will recommend an allocation of your initial investment and the ‘future money’ going in from your payroll deductions.

We also offer guidance for any changes or re-balancing to existing accounts, or hypothetical investments you are considering.

Our recommendations may be implemented at your sole discretion in your 401k plan, or a brokerage firm, or a mutual fund company of your choice.

METHODS and STRATEGIES

Methods of Analysis - Your Investment Coach employs charting and the fundamental analysis method for evaluating mutual funds in your portfolio. Mutual funds are recommended for client accounts by screening the funds available through the company 401k plan or brokerage firm’s platform based on the following criteria: performance history, risk and volatility ratings, the manager’s tenure and track record, the fund’s objective and sector it invests in, third-party analysis and ratings, and the fund’s fees and load structure.

Sources of Information - The main sources of information we use are financial newspapers and magazines, investment industry journals, data and research materials prepared by others, and third party mutual fund analysis and rating services.

Investment Strategies  - We strive to reduce the risk of the client portfolio, preserve its value, and lessen the volatility of the returns by following the asset allocation guidelines of the Modern Portfolio Theory, the Prudent Investor Rule philosophy, and long-term investing. Our recommendations are based on the client’s individual investor and financial profile, risk tolerance, investment experience, and time horizon.
